Anyone running 2600MM on Esprit 120?

Just looking at the spacing on this thing - the shortest possible backfocus to sensor seems to be 82mm, 7mm longer than the Field Corrector requires (75mm).

Do I need to get a custom adapter made for the field corrector (the only part of the chain that has 'empty space), or has someone mass produced something like this already? Seems like it must be a fairly common issue given that scope/camera combo is not unusual.

Cheers

The back focus of the sensor will be 17.5mm according to ZWO.

Your Esprit will present 55mm of back focus after the flattener.

Not sure how you’re getting such high numbers

It's 55mm from the back of the flattener body. The measurement above is taken from the glass (which is further back inside).

I have used my 2600MC on my Esprit, and just use 55mm from the back of both the 0.77x reducer/flattener and 1x flattener.

I’ve had the 2600MC for just over 2 years now and looking at buying the 2600MM early next year
ZWO have all the set up configurations on their website ( including drawings and dimensions)
With filter wheel
With filter wheel and OAG
With filter draw only
2600MC and 2600MM Sensor to face of tilt plate is 17.5mm

As I solely use Newts I can’t help you with spacing but looking at the ZWO site Im sure the info is there you need

Cheers

Doesn't make a difference. Both cameras consume 17.5mm back-focus from the flange to the sensor.

This gets subtracted from the 55mm total from the back of the reducer or reducer/flattener, whichever you are using.

Okay, I'm feeling a little foolish. I didn't realise you're supposed to *remove the tilt plate from the camera for my particular configuration. That saves me 5mm, and then the screw-in adapter accounts for the other 2mm. Solved!

Just to clarify though, the *camera manual says 55mm. The *telescope manual says 75mm, that's why I was trying for 75mm. Maybe different models have different BF? [Edit; it's 55mm from the back of the Field Corrector extender which, as you can imagine is exactly 20mm long]

I guess if my stars start looking like I'm shooting through a snowglobe, I'll know I'm doing something wrong!

Thanks for your help guys.
