Hi all,

My sister has this scope with a mount and tripod collecting dust and I can have it for free or else its going in the bin. I know it was a cheapy from Dick Smith but is it worth my time just to use for visual? Otherwise I will just salvage the tripod because it is a bit more sturdy than mine.

If you put a low power eye piece into it it could make a quite nice wide field scope.

I don't know what mount yours is on, but it is a good scope, so if you are going to throw it out, throw it at me. Good scope for planetary and lunar,
and double star splitting.
