The weather was at times a bit uncooperative and I made for the Cradle Mountain at 0330 in the morning. I was surprised when I got there by just how bright it was already. There was a waning moon and I expected that to illuminate the landscape but not that the sky would be so bright already. It was lovely and peaceful and there was a brisk breeze blowing from off the lake, so no glassy reflections there

In all the total absence of cloud ( a complete difference from the day before!) made for a very average sunrise with no nice colouring of the landscape. Anyway here is the Blue hour just before dawn.
