Aurora

I got out of bed this morning at 5 AM and looked out the window to the South and noticed something in the sky, when I realised what it was I raced outside to the kids cubby with the camera and tripod

It was easily visible with the need eye, and you could se it fading in and out. Really spectacular, I have never seen it so clearly before.

Gotta be happy with those shots Erik,
Was raining when I got home from work at 1:30 am over west of Geelong so I missed it unfortunately, I'm hoping to try again tonight.

Wow, stunning colours in there.
Wonderful to look at, you're so lucky to catch it.
I'd love to see something like this.

Oh, spectacular! And to think I woke up at 5:30 because my wife was getting an early flight to Melbourne. Clear skies, and I never looked south...

It was a large event Erik. Congratulations on the photos, it's exciting when you get good colour.
There is expected to be another Fri/Sat, depending on the speed of the CME

It was really cool, it must have been pretty strong, it was quite bright. I'm excited to hear there may be more. I'll be more prepared next time hopefully!
