Shuttle tickets onsale tonite

Just incase anyone was waiting for tickets to go see the space shuttle. They go onsale 9am EDST (States EDT time), or around 11pm to middnish here.

These tickets are were you get to sit 6miles from the launch pad!!

Might just watch it on NASA TV for free But would be an awesome sight in the flesh, thats for sure.

My family has a house on the "Ridge" in Florida (the high point of the state but still not very high)...

Whenever they do a "night" launch from the Cape you can see the fireball from the back yard...it is really cool to watch the rockets go up!!!

It has been a long time coming...Godspeed all involved!

How long have you been over there now ?

I'd Just about kill for a ride on the shuttle, i'd even give away all my Astronomy stuff....

I went to Kennedy space centre twice in three years and the launch was canceled both times the second time with only two hours to launch.
To say I was cheesed of would be an understatment

I wish like crazy to be going up there with them.
By the time there's a regular shuttle service to Out There, I'll be either too old or dead.
I guess one should be grateful to have been around to witness Man's achievements so far with space travel. Previous generations could only dream about what we concider routine missions.

I'm still here in Sydney...not likely to make it to Florida until sometime after retirement...

It is much darker here!!!

Make sure you give it away AFTER the ride on the space shuttle. I'm sure you could sneak it into the cargo bay for some unobstructed, pollution free observing while you were up there.

Paul, Yeah i dont have to wear my ski gear to go outside at night! lol

Infact its quite pleasant in the low 20s getting down to the low teens at night! It tis so very lovely! Have been getting amazing sunsets here the past month too!.. will have to post some pics

Yep late autumn and early winter are killers for sunsets here. My wife and I watched one fade this afternoon, glorious it was. It wasn't til after it had faded I thought, "Damn the camera"

Its tragic for the US when you can say Sydney's skys are darker Eh !
