Good work, Geoff! You'll be a PI black belt soon You've got a bit of colour in the background so you might want to try a RangeSelection mask and curves to desaturate it.

Cheers,
Rick.

Great stuff Geoff. I need to knuckle down and finish my M33.

Love the detail you've brought out there. You've really used your focal length well and kept tracking well under control. The galaxies perpendicular and above the disk are a sight to behold.

Little surprised a bit more red nebulae didn't come out in the disk, and the centre is a bit too yolk coloured if I'm picky. In reality suspect I'm jealous its better than any of my efforts

What the hell is the RangeSelection tool!? Just when you think you've caught up with all the latest PI bells and whistles dammit
Off to read the PI forums. Probably find its been there for years un-noticed. Thanks Rick.

Solid NGC 253 there Geoff, the outer halo is quite obvious too, nice work, I agree about the slightly off colour though and the smoothing looks a tad strong too, have another tweak but a rather nice view none the less.

Thanks Rob, I hope to see your M33 soon . I noticed the "yolk colour" pop when I added the Ha data. In fact I toned down the amount of Ha as it was originally overwhelming the core.

Rob, I used the range selection tool to allow me to mask the background and target/sharpen the Galaxy or as Rick suggested, invert and mask the galaxy to just work on the background.

Thanks Mike, I've added the original LRGB version which might have a better colour balance, not sure
