30th March Jupiter + another animation

Hi all.

Here's the final washup from the 30th March Jupiter series I took before SPSP.

The seeing was only slightly better than average, so they're not the smoothest images but they show quite a bit of detail still, with the red circle inside Red Jr and lots of other small storms and spots in the NEB.

The attachment shows 2 images out of 11 for the session, and the link below is an animation of the 11 frames, covering about 1 hour elapsed time.

Jupiter Rotation Animation (460k animated gif)

A 70% scaled down version is here:

Another fine image Mike, excellent for the conditions.
Also the animation is awesome, the image scale is just superb.

Well done once again.

Many thanks guys! I'm very pleased with the Jupiter's i've been churning out. Been lucky with the seeing and jetstream, and have settled on a nice set of capture parameters and processing methods, so they all turn out similar in look and feel.

And making these animations is fun! I even bought a registered copy of Jasc Software Animation Shop 3, so my trial version doesn't run out. It's a great, easy program for making these animated gifs.

Great images Mike - keep on pumping them out.

Thank you also for posting such well documented details of the post capture processes and techniques you use. Yours and Dave’s “how to” contributions to Jupiter capture and processing have really helped me refine my own techniques.

Birds and RobertT's results continue to inspire me and keep my spirits up although I cannot figure where RobT gets these occasional clear spells from, as we both live in Brisbane and all I see are clouds, clouds and clouds everywhere...And he uses a x4 Powermate...go figure, he must be a planetary magician as well as prolific poster.

Cheers

Dennis

Great animation Mike. Plenty of detail, even within the red spot.
