First Nights with the eMotimo TB3 (Video)

I posted a review thread, but my first video with the eMotimo TB3 motion control unit belongs here. Or you can jump to the full review on my site.

https://vimeo.com/79655491

This video includes footage from the trip to the CWAS Astrofest in July and AAIC on the Gold Coast in August.

Footage clips are in order from Winton Wetlands (Vic), CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope & Little Llangothlin Nature Reserve near Glen Innes (NSW), Maranoa Wetlands near St George and Pyramid Rock (Qld) and finally from Lake Eppalock (Vic). All captured with a Canon 6D and 5D Mark II and 14mm and 24mm lenses.

Thanks to Anthony Wesley for local advice about the Glen Innes area and Terry Cuttle, Tony Dutton and jjnettie for some last minute SEQ advice which prompted me to take the plunge with a night at Pyramid Rock in Girraween National Park on the night before heading back to Melbourne. Mind you, when I was carrying 25kg up the steep sides of the rock in a race for sunset I wasn't so happy. The walk down in the dark was good too .

Phil

Very nicely done Phil, especially for those being the first time you used it. Looks fantastic.

'First Nights' but several of them spaced out over a few months. The controller is very easy to use.. I just had to stop trying to do too much with it.

Great collection of sequences there Phil I was wondering when or if I would see any of the Parkes footage. When did you shoot the Winton Wetlands? Was that on your way up to Parkes or another trip?

This is pretty quick for me.. about five months from start to finish! Winton Wetlands was on the way up to Parkes.. only just got there in time for sunset and had hardly used the eMotimo at that stage before setting it up in a hurry!

All right! Phil Hart is back and with a vengeance!

Superb! Love it.

Gee those Milky Way shots are soooo clear. Makes you feel you can reach out and touch it.

Also tell your mate his music is divine.

Greg.

Thanks Greg!

The music in this case is a stock clip from RevoStock. Glad you like it!

Composing, recording and editing a music clip is a big undertaking (as you know) so I can't ask for that for every video I produce. Found a stock clip that worked so went with that..
