WO 2" Dura-Bright diagonal

I recently bought the new version of the William Optics 2" Dura-Bright diagonal from VTI Optics. It is currently on special from them ($139.99 delivered in Australia).

First impressions are very good. It is bigger and heavier than my older WO carbon fibre diagonal but this is no bad thing. It feels really solid and well made.

Optically it is excellent, as expected. The other night I used it with my C6 and 19mm Panoptic and had my best ever view of Venus about 30 minutes after sunset.

It also has the usual William Optics appearance - that is, it looks as good as it performs!

I just noticed that the WO 1.25" diagonal is also on special at VTI.

Check them both out at: http://www.vtioptics.com.au/diagonals/

BTW, I have no vested interest in VTI Optics. I just find them great to deal with and they have some really good stuff

I would love to know what is the optical principle/theory behind the Durabright diagonal and a thicker mirror?

Specifically, does anyone know what performance advantage this is supposed to achieve in comparison to any other dielectric mirror (quartz or otherwise)?
