Look what I just received

I won this in an Auction on Astromart and it finally came today...a spontaneous purchase but I was curious as I never heard of TeleVue Zoom. Not sure if it a performer but I have liked all the Televue eyepieces (Radians, Ethos) I have owned before.

I think this is basically the same as the Vixen lv zoom. Made for TV.

If so and I believe it was. It contains lanthanum glass and should be a very good performer.

Someone I believe would know, is Profiler.

Cheers and enjoy.
Bigjoe.

Seems it was discontinued in 2009:

I wouldn't mind having one.

It is a nice eyepeice, I owned one for a while, it came with my TV60. It is a versatile eyepiece for a spotting scope and useful for a grab and go type of scope. Ultimately I preferred my other astro eyepieces.

Here are a couple of reviews;

I had the Vixen version for several years - nice eyepiece but soft image at 8mm compared to the Lunt zoom that I have.

Hi Hans,

You have a nice zoom "but" as BigJoe correctly mentioned this is a very rare example of Televue rebadging equipment under their own name with a few QC nips and tucks etc.

So, in a nutshell, you have purchased a very good quality Vixen Zoom with green lettering on it. Having said this - I personally think the Vixen zooms are very good all things considered.
