Aurora Australis
Hi all,
Happy as the proverbial pig right now. About 3 hours ago from just south of Wagga Wagga. Second night in a row of aurora activity (have not had time to even look at the ones I did last night). Prior to last night I had never captured an aurora display before. Wish I was back in tas to get all those greens but still happy with this.

Canon 5D Mk II
14 mm F/2.8
ISO 3200
30 seconds
Cheers
Greg

verrrry lovely!
I was wondering about the zodiacal, too and thought that light might be more a result of post processing? Given that the photo edges appear quite dark compared to the middle?
anyway, beautiful colors!

Great shot what a beauty! Another tick on the bucket list
Were the lights obvious to the naked eye, or only so with the 30 sec exposure?

Nice one Greg.
Wish I was back in Tassy too. I left just over 1 week ago.
Maybe next time for both.

Partial tick Carlos Still want to get those all sky ones. Iceland/Alaska/Canada/Scandinavia trip might be in order down the track.
Nothing noticeable to the naked eye.
