HEQ-5 mount

I have a friend who is achieving excellent images using traditional film exposures for deep sky objects at prime focus. He is shooting with a Celestron C8 on an EQ5 mount which is the same as the Celestron CG5 mount.(worm gears)
Is the new Heavy duty EQ5 mount advertised by Andrews Communications a better option for the same photography keeping in mind that I will be doing shorter exposures using a Canon 350.
And no I cannot afford a losmonday mount at this time!

yeh the heavy duty eq5 is the best option, ive got 1 its pretty damn good!
