While in Parkes for the David Malin Awards last weekend, I headed off to the Dish to try and capture the Moon-Jupiter-Venus conjunction. The sky was nice and clear for the whole drive out to the telescope, but of course as soon as I got the camera and tripod out of the car a huge bank of cloud came in and totally covered the conjunction. I soon found Phil Hart and Alex Cherney out in the paddock doing the same thing, and equally annoyed at the clouds. Eventually a small gap in the clouds appeared, allowing me to get this image. Not as good as I was hoping for, but better than nothing I suppose!
