spoiled for choice!

thought i'd have a bit of a look thru the scope last nite. man! the sky was so dark, everything was so clear.i could see the f star in the trapezium as a star in it's own right, and the nebula was outstanding! ( didnt help me see the horsehead, tho ). the tarantula, 47 tucanae, the jewel box,the carina nebula- i could distinguish all those faint stars in the area called trumpler 14-incredible! omega centauri, centaurus a, the sombrero galaxy, i almost felt greedy having so much to look at! my feet hurt ,my legs hurt, but i couldnt stop looking.the moonrise stopped me looking for galaxies in virgo. a blessing in disguise?
for everyone thinking of buying a scope, or trying to set one up,these nights make it all worthwhile.
