Condenation is unavoidable. The thing is while observing to attempt to slow it or stop it from forming on the optics. While the rest of the scope can be soaked, if the optics are dry you can keep observing (or imaging as the case may be). Frost can form on the scope too, but again, if the optics are dry, you can keep doing your thing.
If dew has condensed on the scope, you'll need to allow it to dry off before you pack it away. You may like to towel it down, no problem there, just be careful of the optics.
