Can't edit old posts?

A slight issue - I tried to edit my old post listing all goto mounts and their details with some new mounts that have come out. Only now the edit button doesn't appear. Is there some limit on how old a thread may be that triggers it being uneditable?

I'd like to put in the effort in to keep this up to date as a valuable asset to the forums, is there any way to achieve this?

Well I still can't update this

http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ead.php?t=8135

Given I was trying to do this as a service to this community, perhaps there is another way to achieve this end? I'll put in the effort if someone can provide a mechanism to permit this basic function!

PS

This post was last editted just seven days ago, so it's hard to see how it might possibly be viewed as a dormant thread. Maybe it should be moved somewhere else and made sticky if it adds sufficient value?

Opinions?
