I've just heard from JJJ
Good news. I've just had a short SMS from Jeanette telling me she's OK and is now back in the ward. She's too tired to talk, so I'll leave her be until she's rested tomorrow. I'm sure she'll be back on to tell you herself before we know it.

Thanks Chris, its good news. I've a few more details to share, the op was unfortunately 4 hrs and not the expected 2hrs and she's 'Feeling absolutely knackered'.

Feeling betterer all the time guys. Forcing myself up and walking, swallowing and talking hurt like crazy. But the only way to get well is to push past the pain barrier.
The docs say I should be going home (to my sisters) tomorrow.
