ED-2 Series Eyepieces

Hi Chaps,
Has anyone had anything to do with the ED-2 Series Eyepieces sold by AOE? They claim to have 20mm eye relief. Can they be Barlowed as I have a suspicion they may have a built in Barlow as well? Are they the same eyepieces sold by Andrews?

yes they have a barlow i believe.

Yes, a built in barlow... don't attempt to unscrew the barlow from the body, you'll have elements all over the place! 20mm ER is true. I get great views thru my 9.5mm but it suffers from blackouts, which is not a real problem. Just a matter of eye placement. The smaller the FL in this series the better in this respect...I'm getting a 5mm shortly so I'll soon tell you.

Yes you can barlow them no sweat.
