View New Posts

I've just implemented a suggestion given by gaa_ian, where you can now click the "View New Posts" link from within viewing a thread, as well as from the main index page.

If you look at the top of the thread, above the "next/prev thread" links, and also at the bottom of the thread, below the "next/prev thread" links, you'll find the "View New Posts" link.

Thanks for the suggestion Ian, hope you find the changes more convenient for you.

Keep the suggestions coming guys!

Cool idea Mike/Gaa_ian.
How far back does the "new posts" search go? Like does it just show new posts in the last 24hrs, or the last 50 posts?
Sounds like just what I need to reduce mouse clicks when seeing whats been happenning lately..
Keep up the good work Mike.

It shows you the new posts since your last visit.

The cookie timeout is about 15 minutes I think, so if visit again within 15 minutes it may still show you posts you've already read.

You can also use the "Mark all forums read" link on the main index page (down the bottom) to do just that, clears the cookie and marks all the threads as having been read.

Great idea. I no longer need to keep going backwards to the "view new posts" results page. Five star suggestion Ian.
