M8 and M20

Hi all, been waiting for the clouds to part and finally got a chance so here is 10x12 mins stacked in Images Plus and processed in PS.
Taken with the 500D through the ED80 with a UHC-S filter.

Great image Daniel. An awful lot of data in there. Beautiful, crisp and clean.
I'm so envious at the moment.
Cheers,
Duncan

Great shot Daniel,
Would you consider a slight boost of the saturation?
That would make the colors come out a touch more
top shot with pinprick stars and great FOV and framing

I love this time of the year. This trickle of images from our winter sky will soon become a flood. I hope to contribute to the deluge in a month or so.
Thanks for posting.

Daniel that is absolutely superb, just the way it should be.
Congratulations on a great image.

Sorry Exfso (peter) the repro looks like the chicken vindaloo I just had, same colour (and yes that maybe just my monitor), overcooked and barely edible.
I am not so sure that repros should be presented before the original poster has been consulted.
Not being nasty, just my opinion.

PeterM.

Nice image Daniel. For me the colour could be enriched/darkened a little but all in all it is a nice image from good data.

Peter, Don't blame me for that effort. Pleeeeeeeease.

Nice one Daniel.
A tiny bit more saturation (not the Peter one ) and it will look splendid.

A difficult image to lift the saturation on due to the fact you used a UHC filter. The UHC while passing RGB also transmits a lot of the Ha and OIII both of which are common place in these nebulas.
It is a bit like managing the blend of RGB and the two NB filters all at the same time.

Very nice but best left alone and as is, you have done a great job without killing it.

Thanks Martin and Doug, Doug your right about the filter, I did feel that the neb was a little soft but got to a stage where any more seemed to burn it out a little so I have left it like that for now and may give it a careful tweak later.
