Unfortunately it doesn't run natively on MAc's - I have boot camp running in order to have some of the astro programs - autostar is one - though I must say I'm not that fond of it
cheers daniel

That's exactly what I do as well. Small partition to run Vista which I use to run certain apps, Autostar being one of them. I did have trouble with the first USB to serial converter I bought so you may have to experiment with a couple before you find one that works. That's the only trouble I had.

There are some astro apps for the Mac that will control (as in slew to an object) a Meade telescope. There's a Mac version of Carte du Ciel which will probably work. I have to admit I haven't had time to play with any yet but if you do a search here for Mac Apps you'll find some threads that mention some programs to try.

Unfortunately as far as I know if you want to manage tours on the scope I'm only aware of Autostar being able to do that.

Cheers,
Greg
