StarTarg for polar alignment.

Hi everyone.

Just a short note on a little software program which makes polar drift aligment a piece of cake as long as you have a live camera connected to a telescope.

This little program is $20 US and realy makes light work of drift aligment.

Fire up your imager and start Startarg. This program overlays your imagers movie image. It comes with a full set of instructions and tips to help you make fine adjustments to your polar alignment.

It is available from. http://www.andysshotglass.com/StarTarg.html

Hope this helps someone who had as many problems as I did.

Doug.

The idea I had was for hooking up a camera and overlaying a polar image for polar alignment.

With enough sensitivity, you could probably go so far as to allow it to analyse manual tube rotation in RA with an overlay of crosshairs of the SCP.
