The Occassional Perfect Condition for imaging second attempt

My pic didn't go with the original message . Too large! Try again!

See first article for details

The attached pic, one of a number recorded at 6.30pm, a cold clear still evening June 21. 8 x F5 Dob, Tucam with 2x Barlow. It's pics like this that rewards one for the effort and suffering the cold!

Craters: Theophilus, Cyrillus, Catharina, Altai Range and Crater Piccolomini.

Very nice Dennis, it's great when it all comes together.

How many frames did you stack in registax? What were your capture settings and what other processing did you do?

Reply to Mick - Perfect conditions

Iam only able to use 15/20 frames. I prefer multi frames, although at times only the default method will give me a complete picture. I only use the two top sliders of the wavelet system, just the smallest amount, then save and in Photoshop change to 8 bits in mode and use levels to brighten etc, but if the pic is good - good conditions - I don't have to do any more than that. Sometimes it may need to be despeckled but that reduces sharpness.
I captured Jupiter last night but conditions were terrible. I'm submitting it for members to see. It isn't on your level Mick but being my first I can only improve. Dennis G

Dennis, I'm sure there is more detail to your Jup image than meets the eye.
Could you possibly post it again, just as it is when Registax finishes stacking it?
