M31 Royal Colour

I managed some more data so I had RBGandL
I tried real hard but I guess red and blue make purple.
Anyways its been a long day (probably will end up a 26 hours day maybe).
I just could not balance the colour on this go...I will have another go at some later stage. This object needs a mosaic approach..maybe next year.
The crook ankle obviously is responsible for the colour so I will have another go when its better...cause the colour is painful no?
Anyways looking at it here will help.

The red data was the best so I guess I have added too much. I mean I don't care as it looks blue to me but my daughter said its very purple..she could not fix it trying to adjust at the end as everything went downhill when she had the colour as it appears in most photos... anyways as you all know I am a "look at the good parts not your mistakes sort of person"...soooo

EDIT...THIS IS NOT THE ONE I FIRST POSTED SO IT IS MUCH LESS PURPLE APPARENTLY.

I created a blue layer and used the rubber to bring forward the blue...

The extra data has made a notable difference Alex & the colour is not that far off the mark IMO.
I'm processing data on M31 myself at the moment & it's very easy to end up with the purple look.
Keep chipping away

Inspirational stuff Alex, soldiering on despite your injuries! Like you said, when you're doing something you really love, it's a great distraction from the pain. I hope you get better soon and your dad as well. Life can be tough at times and it's nice to have a hobby to take your mind off your worries for a while. Keep your chin up Alex, we all appreciate your positive attitude and kind words.

I'm sure you'll sort out the colour balance, RGB imaging must be a challenge in juggling the right amount of primary colours to make it look natural. Too much of either of the three can make a dramatic effect. I see most doing colour this way seem to give each primary coloured filter the same exposure with maybe a little more for the blue filter. I've only had a go with RGB filters on planetary imaging.

Thanks everyone..being colour blind is a real disadvantage...I worked out percentages that should have worked ..and my daughter said it was close but at a point where it can go purple easy.

I hope to leave here on Sunday on the positive assumption the ankle can manage the drive..I have a wheel chair in Sydney so I will use that to get from the car to see Dad ..I just hope he hangs on...and it would not surprise me if he makes it to 100 it's only another two odd years.

But I am happy with the progress given they are short exposures, high gain, poorly focused and that I have a long way to go with processing..but as we all know the better it gets the more effort for marginal improvements...think car racing probably easy to lap within a second or two of top dog but hundreds of grand to close the gap
Thanks everyone I am ok I have got my head together as you can see from my expansion of the universe thread.
