my Kulnura excuse for not being there tonight - walk for cancer research

My daughter is involved in the brownies and guides and tonight they are forming part of the Cancer council walk for life event to raise funds for cancer research. the opening ceremony was quite touching really as Tania and myself lost our Dads to cancer. So I fully support this concept. so much so I have dumped the daughter and pick her up tomorrow morning. I will be calling in there overnight some time to catch them walking around, the close is tomorrow morning at 10am.

it is a windy and cold night, quite miserable really, so I am waiting for that phone call, "dad come and get me"

and in the morning we will remember them.........and go to bed

well they finished up this morning with an army pipe band and a march where everyone participated. They raised $113,000 for research. Next year I might give it a go for the full 20 hours...................

David, what a brilliant effort of fund raising and to top it off it looks like the kids (and adults) all had a ball.

Cheers Petra
