Latest effort over light polluted Darwin, temp 18C. 30 deg above horizon.
4 hours atik 383 osc, 10 min exposures, flats and darks subtracted.
saxon ed 120
sgp, nebulosity, ps cs6
A bit pixellated due to size reduction and cropping, haven't learned to control stars yet.
Going to a darker site tonight, might get some more data.
cheers
George

Tough target this one, well done. There is a bit of a gradient in the background, do you have an issue with some LP? I was getting similar issues when imaging from my balcony

Thanks Raymo.

Aiden , it was taken over the city lp, gradient removal is not my forte, same box as controlling stars. Once the wet season starts up here there will be no imaging for months so I can work on my processing.

nice one George, one of my favourite galaxies, deceivingly faint to image however, you've done well.

A Tuff target George some bright gradients in your image starting from the bottom right hand corner you could try Doug Germans method of gradient control in PS. Works well for me most of my images have terrible gradients.

I think it was not an appropriate target under light polluted skies

Russ, i have the opportunity of a darker site so i will add more data later.

Michael , will try your suggestion

Cheers
George
