Wider View of the Milky Way and Windfarm over Coral Bay

The wind turbines at Coral Bay, a wider view, with the Milky Way setting over the Indian Ocean.

Venus is the bright ‘star’ low near the horizon.

It’s kind of eerie standing near the wind turbines at night – I couldn’t ‘see’ them except through the long exposure of the camera, but the noise they make is quite unique.

They generate 90% of the power needs of Coral Bay, with a solar array behind the backpackers supplying the remainder.

It’s a 2-image panorama, with the usual settings – 6D, 14-24 @ 14mm f/2.8, ISO6400, 30s exposures.

Thanks!
