Old Shed in the Adelaide Hills

I'm currently down in Adelaide for work, and rally was kind enough to chauffeur me around the other night, taking me up into the Adelaide Hills so I could shoot some nightscapes.

We found this great old abandoned shed in one of the valleys not far from his house.

The night sky shows the Southern Cross, Carina, the Large and Small Magellanic clouds, and I was lucky enough to capture a meteor flare to the right.

The usual setup and exposure - 5D Mk 2, Samyang 14mm @ f/2.8, 30s @ ISO3200.

- Large version

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful! Chockablock full of good stuff too I especially like how Crux is almost mirrored by those stars in Vela (Kappa & Sigma) and Carina (Aspidiske & Avior).

Nice work,looks great.

Did you run any light over the old shed?,or was the moon rising behind you.

Must try some of this style of photography.

Hi Chris

I illuminated the shed with my headlamp, only for a second or so.
