M42 UV image completed

Brought out some more central detail around the Trapezium area with a "classical" L(=UV)RGB image illustrating the dust details enhanced in a UV image and a L=(UV)RGUV image.

Since UV is not associated with any colour channel I assigned B=UV as blue light is closest to long wave UV in the electromagnetic spectrum.

Higher resolutions can be found here.

Steven,
Excellent result!
Hopefully this will encourage others to seriously assess the real opportunities of imaging in the UV region.
Onwards and upwards!!

Thanks Ken, Larry and Ross.

I've decided to settle on mapping the G-channel with the UV data.

It looks less psychedelic than B=UV and the dust detail looks further enhanced.

Higher resolution here.
