Talking What are you doing right now?

We've had a busy day so far, but it has been very nice.

The lawns are mowed and edged, the paths vacuumed, washing is folded up and I've nearly finished cooking a huge batch of bolognese sauce for meals during the week. We both work and need good food for us and the kids.

We've put the stereo on and loaded some discs including Joe Cocker, Elton John, Stiff little Fingers, Eagles and a couple of variety discs while quaffing a bottle of 7 year old Pinot Noir.

We could be any where in the world, with any amount of money, it doesn't get better than this!!

Dragged a couple of old bikes out of the garage and am considering which to rebuild and which to dispose of.

Cheers,
Jason.

Was just chasing a cranky Bluetongue trying to get some pictures (see the terrestrial photography section).

Then had to move him to the forrest (twice) to stop him wandering on the road. Some car drivers around here just run them over for fun which is very sad.

Saturday walked the new Motorway tunnel, had lunch down Wynyard Wharf, cooked up some amazing sirloin beef hamburges, ( eat your plastic heart out McDonalds ! )
Sunday at 4.45 am took my wife over the bridge to start her half marathon. Collected same sore wife and brought her home for a shower then off the local watering hole for some good lunch and some alcoholic painkillers. Now I'm about to power up the mount while she crashes out.

We can drink wine again now the event is over !!

I also should be doing an assignment (amateur radio license).
Instead I planted some spuds then sat in the lounge watching the clouds on Mt Wellington, no observing tonight.

ATM I'm hiding out in a motel room. I've been following a severe thunderstorm from Glen Innes up through to Tenterfield. Lightning strikes, hail and debris, rain so heavy one couldn't see the road. And so much water on the road it took all my strength to keep the car on the road at times.
Enjoying being back in civilization....internet!!!!

Hi Adam et al,

I'm chief cook in our house too, and I use JO's cook book quite a lot. I find his recipes are usually the sorts of thing that we all like - there's 5 of us without guests.

Today I'm doing his Beef and Ale Stew. It smells delish, but I've noticed that most of the things from the book that I've tried are not exactly pauper food - unless food is an awful lost less costly in the UK.

Worth it though if it all gets eaten I suppose.

Bon appetite

Putting the scope away

Well in Adelaide it's cloudy, Windy (or both) or it's not on the week of the full moon. So as I do most nights I try to setup, and then I am packing up without doing a thing...Bugger Bugger and double Bugger..

It's about time we had a Crying smiles to add to the posts as well. I am sure lots of us would be using it. This one will just have to do

I am REALLY getting fed up with the weather this year... I'm buying a truck load of Kites and setting up a stall at the beach.. Might sell umbrella's as well...

I know of one forum which has a nice barfing smilie... he hurls a huge torrent of olive-green sludge several smilie-diameters across the post. There's another smilie where it jumps of a skyscraper and explodes in a bloody mess upon hitting the ground. These would be fantastic.
