Has anybody got this software to work with your pics? I'm having trouble matching. Could you post a step by step procedure if you have it working? Thanks.

It can be a bit erratic, Marc. It helps a lot if your image scale is accurate.
Which catalogs have you downloaded?
Have you got an example I can try with my config which usually (but not always) works?
Larry would probably be interested in ones that don't work for him to refine the algorithm.

Thanks Andrew. I tried to load this shot. Image scale is 2.97asp, 280mm aperture, 520mm FL.

Marc, it solved in about 20 secs on my Atom powered notebook with the Tycho2 catalog. You can get the overlaid version and ini file from here. Copy the ini to the same directory the image is in and it should work for you. The hint I used was:

Custom : NGC2070
Sensor size : 22.5 x 18 mm
Focal length : 520

Here are the basic results (in degrees):
OrigRa=84.677083
OrigDec=-69.100833
FieldWidth=2.424571
FieldHeight=1.608341
