Under a Moonlit Sky

Spent last weekend around the Margaret River region in WA and took these with a Sony RX100 M3. Our cottage was near a vineyard, so I took advantage of the waxing gibbous moon to light up some interesting foregrounds nearby. Mars nearing opposition features in a couple and headlights from a passing car light up the vines in another.

Very nicely done. It's amazing how much light the moon actually provides for night work.

Thanks Warren, probably a little too close to full moon to capture any detail of nebulosity or the Milky Way but an interesting effect none the less.

Glad you liked them Tony, a lovely place to visit and with no moon, I imagine some nice dark skies too!

Like the first one Mick with the cart.
Nicely framed and good foreground color to offset against the starry sky.

Thanks Kevin. First time to WA and no complaints with the hospitality. Too much to see in a weekend though! Will hopefully return and stay a little longer. Loved Fremantle.
