Asiair connectivity puzzle

Hi Everyone,
Recently my EQMOD serial cable destroyed itself getting caught up in a slew.
I have an EQ6-R mount without a USB port. So I fitted a Skywatcher USB adapter.

My Asiair Plus connects to the mount through the adapter using EQMOD with Skysafari setting at 9600 Baud no problem.

My Asiair PRO does not see the mount with this adapter and returns an error at any Baud rate.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks

Chris

Have you tried using EQMOD (not with Sky Safari)? It might be worth a shot.

Try setting the baud rate to 115200.

Forgot to mention that I'm using an AZ-EQ6 with USB port (added afterwards), ASIAIR PLUS and use USB connection, EQMOD and 115200 baud successfully. It's not an ASIAIR PRO, but still worth a shot.

Thanks guys for your thoughts.
I’m in contact with ZWO Support who are looking into whether the driver for the Skywatcher USB Dongle is in the ASIAIR PRO.

That’s interesting about the wifi dongle as it would free up a port and one less cable to get caught up!

I could be wrong but eqmod shoestring cable does not work with sky safari you need to use a rs232 cable .
