Musk's Starlink Internet System Approved by Australian Regs

Well there seems to be no stopping the constellation of Starlink satellites above our heads, as today Musk seems to have received regulatory approval to operate the system in, above, Australia. Details here:

With the pricing structure being discussed for North American users, this is sure to shake up the cosy arrangement that the NBN and its ilk have enjoyed here for too long. However, I still object to all those routers in the night sky over my observatory.

On the upside, it does establish a cash flow service business for SpaceX and I am all for supporting the development of Starship, Mars colonisation (without big business getting a change to pollute that planet as well.

I commend Elon Musk and Space X for getting off their butts, taking a huge risk and re energising the worlds Space industry again since its 2011 with low earth orbit satellite deployment, manned missions to ISS , proposed lunar and planetary manned missions , and many other technological milestones.
Unfortunately us astronomers ( amateur or professional) were always going to sacrifice some of our relatively clear night skies for the advancement of Space technology and science into the future whether it be Space X or any other Space technology company.
It was an incredible time living through the Apollo Space race era as a kid and teenager and now it’s starting to happen all over again 50 years later anticipating manned missions back to the Moon in 4 years and Mars in the next 12 to 15 years
Exciting times ahead !!
