Dew Shields For C9.25 SCT & Finder.

Just finished knocking up a couple of dew shields.

Materials: Fairly thin Flat black cardboard/Clear contact/camera wrist strap.

Scored the cardboard from the newsagancy for $2, two sheets to go right around the OTA. Joined them with clear tape & then covered the joined sheets with clear contact on one side only (outside) Held to OTA by an old camera wrist strap. It will support the original aluminium corrector plate dust cover, without pulling the whole kit 'N kaboodle off the scope due to the weight.

Also added my 'worth it's weight in gold' cross-hair illuminator to the finder dew shield.

Thanks Dennis.

A pretty easy project for anyone to do, & a helpful mod to stem the dew flow I hope! If I still have problems, I'll be looking into building a dew heater as well.

Update: Got to test the dew shields out tonight. They do indeed work like a charm! Theres plenty of dew about, & after doing a 1/2 stint of imaging no dew present on any of the optics.

I'm happy.
