Meade etx 125ec

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for someone who live within 30Km of Sydney with experience fixing ETX mount. I bought an ETX 125EC second hand from Perth, the previous owner said it was in working order and I believed him.

I believe some loose nut/gear inside the Altitude/Declination arm during transit but I don't have any experience pulling this thing part and I haven't started yet for fear of causing further damage. Occasionally, the gear slip into place and I was able to move the telescope up and down, but other time it seems like gear is slipping if not grinding inside the folk arm.

I'm stuck with the dilemma of sending it back to the previous owner or fixing it here. I would prefer to pay someone here to fix the problem rather than on freight cost.

Please PM me if you want to earn some cash on your spare time.

Cheers.

Hun, I don't know if you've solved your problem but +1 for Bintel. They fixed my ETX quickly and at a reasonable cost. If it's fixed you could notify the mods to close the thread.
