I took one of our VR4's onto the hard black sand at a west coast beach a few years ago. Dropped her into 2nd tiptronic, gave her the boot and then chucked her into a 4 wheel drive drift. Absolutely awesome fun. Big fountains of sand from all 4 wheels. Spent about 5 minutes just drifting in circles and figure 8's then straightened out and headed off. Got a big clap fest from a bunch of guys parked up watching. Got a big handslap from the mechanic who changed the AYC diff fluid as I'd turned it a wee bit black and the under chassis baffles were loaded with black sand after a 100 km drive home and a week later !!
Still one my best fun drive experiences ever !!
