DSLR to HEQ5

Does anyone have any advice how to attach a Canon 7D to my HEQ5 mount, either a ready-made device or something I can build? I can work with wood but no idea how to do anything with metal. Google hasn't helped...

Gaffer tape...? ;-)

Or, more seriously, I haven't tried but I imagine something like this:

then drill a hole in the middle and stick a 1/4" (I think) bolt through. Then you can put a small ball head on.

ADM also has a bracket that screws on to a Vixen dovetail. http://admaccessories.com/V_Series_Camera_Mount_Kit.htm That has the advantage of being able to piggyback on a main scope later on.
