Excellent Jen.
Hope you get great views and clear skys in Qld for the solar eclipse.
Can't wait to do a side by side comparison at March SV camp with the SM40.

Hi Jen,
Now I see why Victoria has copped a weather beating. My sister in Melbourne has complained. That is how far reaching the affects of your new toy has had. So many Victorians have suffered so that you may have a new toy.
If you think you can make me jealous..... Wellll...lll. er YOU HAVE
Enjoy what you have. Its nice to have those little things in life that give us joy. Personally I would like to see everyone owning the best.
Cheers Buddy

Jen jen, you have to change your signature now.
Congrats on the new scope. The camera is analog. You can plug it straight into your tv and watch the sun on the big screen.

By definition, astronomer's skin is a pale pasty white colour (OK, the Caucasians anyway). You going to buck the rules!

Congrats Jen, hope you have a ball with it.
Hmmm getting focus with PST and a camera can be a bit of a pita at times. My experience is that the chip is too far away and you will need a shorter 1.25" adapter. Either that or screw an old barlow lens (sans the barlow tube) onto the end of the adapter. You'll get a bit of magnification but you should be able to reach focus that way ..... if the chip isn't tooooooo far away.
What would be realllllly nice on the pst is if the eyepiece holder could screw off and you could screw the camera directly to the pst. Would work a treat then.
