The Emu Of The Forest

Hi all,
Trying to clear some of the backlog of images I have before I dive into all the ones I took on my recent Tasmania trip.
Taken just down the road from where I live in a clearing in some trees two weeks ago at the peak of the Perseid's Meteor Shower. Saw some great ones but only managed to capture one good one on camera (will probably post that image tomorrow)
Vertical panorama made from 8 horizontal images.
Canon 5D Mk II
Pro Optic 14mm F/2.8 lens @ F2.8
ISO 3200

As always any and all comments or critique is more than welcome.

Cheers
Greg

Thank you so much Jeff, Mike, other Mike and Andrew I really appreciate it. In the cold light of the morning I think it might be a bit too blue but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Very nicely done! Trees framing the Milky Way look great and for me it works well both vertically and horizontally (I could not resist rotating your image ).

Thank you so much for that Alex Yeah I did think about having a horizontal orientation but went with this mainly because I thought that that light pollution worked better at the bottom.
