Simultaneous Time Lapse Captures M-Class Flare

Hi all,
I had been playing with some software I have written when I noticed a large flare on the solar limb! I quickly enabled my "dual simultaneous time lapse" capability and I was able to make 2 movies of the event at different exposure settings. The poor video quality is due to the afternoon being partially cloudy, this seemed to block out the surface details but I was able to still see the "Hairy Disk" quite clearly despite the occasional cloud cover.

The time lapses where taken between 1315 and 1510. The equipment I used is as follows;
Solar Autoguider
Mod Coronado PST
EQ6
DMK 41

Awesome Trent. I actually got an avi with this happening, and am trying to work out how to use it. The quality in mine is questionable as well, clouds and an image scale too great didn't help.

That is cool! I imaged the little pop too - a bright spot at mid line and a bit of a spew with greater Gamma / Exposure setting.
I added my pic too - action at 9 o'clock (East). Lasted for about 2 hours I think?

Thank you! Could you divide it up into a image sequence and pick out the frames you want? Image scale is a pain for me, I want greater resolution. I got word that my ERF is on it's way so soon I will have a 90mm objective.

Matt,
I got two "surges" I captured the tail end of the first and the most part of the second. Sun set for me is about 1530 due to houses rudely being in the way! Nice pic by the way!

I also got a few short clips, where I changed the exposure settings, and captured a few up close, showing similar to Matt's disk shot.
