Lagoon from under down under

Greetings, took some lagoon with the 60Da , she's a beauty of a nebula.

that's a fine image Graham, excellent detail and luminosity. Most of the other images posted here seem to have bit more red, but I found it to be real tricky to boost the red much without making the whole thing look too neon.

Have you tried that technique of duplicating the layer pin photoshop and overlaying with the soft-light function to increase the colour?

I can post an example if you like, I just tried it with your image and it worked pretty well for a 2 second procedure.

Peter, haven't much experience in PS. Trying to learn a little PI, and mainly use Star Tools.
Could you post your version?

This is a super quickie, and it is from youir already compressed image, but anyway, I just duplicated the layer and changed the mode to 'soft-light'.

Probably easier to see side-by-side. Some of the nebulosity can be retained if I had duplicated the layer again, and changed the layer mode to 'luminosity' to bring it back up again.
I'll do that later if you like. I got the technique from those video links I posted a while back.

I don't know if it looks any better or not, I like both versions, it is all in the eye of the beholder really.
