One of my occasional astro-related daydreams has been the deployment of a large space telescope with a companion satellite that can be maneouvered in the scope's line of sight to produce a
tiny occultation circle. This setup could then be positioned to occult the intense light from a star and possibly reveal more detail of its planetary systems. But perhaps there's some basic element of optics I am unaware of that makes the idea lame. So I'll shut up now.
