Happy Birthday
A few Birthday’s today. And happy birthday to all.
But would like to make special mention to Neilzstar (Neil) those will remember Neil from snake valley camp.
Neil had a very serious accident a little while ago. He came off his bike while exercising.
It was a road accident, in which he was very lucky to be alive. If it was not for his helmet I very much doubt he would have survived.
After a month in Hospital Neil is now home and recovering. Neil is unable to drive yet or do any viewing. But his recovery is coming along well.
So I wish him a very special happy birthday and look forward to observing in his observatory soon. Have a good one my friend.

Happy Birthday

Thank You all for your very good wishes and messages of support. I am well on the road towards a complete recovery. I sustained what must have been a fairly severe blow to my head, presumably when my head hit the ground. No other impact of any sort or with any vehicle. So, sore head and many bruises. My accident was on 18th March, and I came off my push bike in Nepean Highway, Mt Eliza, about 8km from home. I finished unconscious on the side of the road with a very fragmented crash helmet, and have no memory at all of what happened, or why. I had spent several days repairing multiple punctures to four tyres , my wife's bike included, sustained in Mildura due to us riding through a patch of three-headed jacks - little seeds along the banks of the Murray - to those that don,t know, these little nuts have three or four very sharp thorns, hard as can be, and they go into bike tyres 'without even noticing' and we finished up with four flat tyres. I can surmise that over-inflated tyres caused my problem. Four days in the Alfred Hospital Trauma unit and another ten days in the Rehabilitation Centre in Springvale Road, Glen Waverly, and then home. Outpatient visits once a week to Glen Waverly are due to finish early May. Thank Gooodness for HBA and Medicare. Memory is a little slow and improving, but the only restrictions that I have at present are bans on bike riding and car driving, but I expect that these will be lifted in the reasonable future. In order to provide the best possible environment for my brain to recover, the doctors advise no alcohol for a year, and with this I propose to comply.
Through it all, I have been completely taken with the compassion and care that have been afforded to me, and that includes both hospitals, and all my friends, including you all from Ice In Space. I spent my birthday at home with friends, and they made the day very special. No presents of alcohol was very thoughtful.
Thank You All. From the depths of my heart. Neil (Neilzstar)

I'm glad to hear you're making a recovery Neil.
As for three-headed- jacks, nasty little blighters they are. Stood on one bare footed one day, something I don't want to do again in a hurry.
Best of luck once again mate. Must catch up again with you guys soon.
