I've upgraded to a motorised focuser and decided to buy one with the motors pre-installed so my existing 2" blue Moonlite CR focuser is up for grabs.
It's a standard 3-speed with 2" drawtube and 3-screw compression ring collar.
They're about US$165 new - with a bit of postage etc, you'd land a new one here for about A$200 I'd say.
SO how about A$220 plus postage for this one?
[Edit] I've added some pics. And I have included the bits of the Moonlite Universal adapter kit that I have. I don't have the whole lot so you may have to buy some bits depending on the size of the scope you are fitting. There is a 1/2 riser and a 1" riser. And there is a profile plate that is for a 10" diameter scope. Note that the way the focuser sits in this profiler is sideways rather than across the tube. I have no idea why.
The body of the focuser from the base (where it meets the riser) to the top of the drawtube is 1.8 inches high when fully racked in.
The screws that are shown attach the focuser to the profile block. There are 4 screws underneatrh the profile block that attach it to the scope from the inside. The screws shown in the photo are a trifle long for the 1/2 profile bar - you can either use shorter screws, cut these off a bit or bulk them up with washers. The 4 grub screws in the bldy of the focuser are there to make sure the focuser is pointing to the optical axis of the scope and they will lift the focuser body a little but probably not enough to avoid having to use different screws.
The tri-speed version of this focuser currently costs about US$340 new, not $165. I was pricing the single-speed version. Apologies to people who have already responded.
Still happy to sell, but I think I'd better up the ante somewhat - more like A$220 plus postage I think.
