First Image ever taken and latest image of same object.

I thought I would post this as a bit of fun. I remember the time when I took a photo of Omega Centauri and had to get the film developed at the 1 hour shop to see if I was successful. You might think I am nuts but I still remember the excitement of my first image of this object and I showed my wife who did not reciprocate the same level of enthusiam. I thought it was great. Taken through a C8 on wedge with pentax 1000. Latest taken earlier this year with W/O Flt 110 with Canon 400d. Still excited. Feel free to show us yours.

That's the good thing about astro-photo. Every new shot you can do a bit better you get as excited as the first one you took. I remember the first time I got a little neb within the stars, which was mostly noise but still I was over the moon.

The first one brings back lots of good memories for me. Lots of good nights out under dark skies doing simple 'ol film astro photography.

These days it's often too cold, wet, moonlit to even do a 5 minute digital shot ... or perhaps I'm just getting older
