Orion Setting

Orion setting over Coliban Reservoir. The 'breaks' in the trails occurred when cars came over hill and I had to cover the lens to prevent too much light getting in. Not bad for a first attempt... even if I do say so myself!

Nice work Ratman! All the making of a great shot coming up.

The star trails themselves are grey rather than white - how did you process the image?

I used my old Chinon CM-3, 400 Kodak film, 55mm lens, f1.7, time lapse of about 1hr and 15 minutes. After processing, I then took a digital photo of the image to get it on the computer
