WOW !
I have to agree Mike, Very Cool stuff indeed.
Its always a pleasure to see someone thinking creatively outside the square.
I wonder if it is very costly?

Pretty amazing gear Mike

Some of that stuff would be quite handy in an Observatory where space is at a premium.

You are all so young!!!!
I remember this, or something very similar, being shown on a TV show called "Here come the '70's"
A whole house basically folded into itself.
Very Cool!

They also tackled: CFC's, Global Warming, the "Internet", Robot Appliances, Islamic extremism and jet-packs.
OK.
That last one never materialised, but it was a great series.

Like one of those fold out beds so you can take a nap during a long night of imaging?

Great link Mike!
I might now be able to make my tiny Villa into a clandestine Super Backpackers!!!!!

This kind of thinking/innovation will bring ( in my opinion) long duration space travel even closer to fruition.....
Bartma....yawn....mmmm those beds look mighty inviting....n

Camping car

I think Jacques Tati did it much better as Mr Hulot in the 1971 film "Trafic".

WOW, somebody knows who Jaques Tati is!!!!!!!!
Classic clip Gary! Thanks
Monsieur Hulot is a classic and love the movie Mon Oncle, which also has some fantastic futuristic ( at the time- we are talking 1958!-) devices.

Cheers

Interesting, Mike,

Housing blocks are being reduced and authorised to as low as 250sqm.
I have seen houses bigger than that.
This may mean the innovations in that video may become quite common place.

Yes, and along with smaller building blocks will mean a greater concentration of night lights.

However, it is an interesting video. Beneficial to small proprties, but for us night owls I see doom and gloom er lights.

Cheers
