Saturn from last night. Seeing was very good - even in the early part of the night.

Tried something a little different with this one. I stacked in Registax but did some noise reduction and wavelets in AIP4WIN (another astro processing package). Had a little more control with the wavelets.

Would like to split into RGB and process but I'm not set up to do that, yet. Will do it during the cloudy weather we are sure to get!

Two moons were captured - I'm pretty sure they are Tethys and Dione (both mag 10). Enceladus was also in the same area but at 11.5 - I think it is more likely I captured the two brighter moons. Did some selective sharpening in Paint Shop Pro to bring out the moons.

Thanks everyone - had a lot of fun capturing and processing Saturn. Thanks, too, for sharing all your images and processing techniques.

Robert_T - I have nine sequences of Jupiter still to process. Captured part of a Europa shadow transit. Just wondering when I will find the time to process!

Congrats Adam. That LPI using autostar sure is a totally different kettle of fish compared to the ToUcam with say K3 or it's packaged image capture program.

I haven't used K3, yet (I have actually downloaded but not installed it). I do mean to give it a try one day and see what the differences are (I like the idea of the polar alignment tool, but I haven't got a wedge yet).

I'm happy with Autostar Envisage at the moment - I have read plenty of criticism of it but I don't mind it. The latest version has added some nice features, and I'm still finding out new things about it, even now.

Having said that, though, I only use it to capture - I don't use the stacking - I prefer to use Registax.
