M83 Yet Again but in RGB

Thisw image is the completed work on M83 with my FSQ106ED.

The Luminance frames (10 X 15 minutes were taken on 5-5-2011. With the moon high and little time I have had to wait until last night to capture some RGB data (7 x 10 minutes each RGB) to add to this.

I was pleasantly surprised at the ability of this scope to resolve such a small target when at f5 (530mm) it is really a wide field scope.

I have included the stacked RGB frame to show how much of a crop the final image really is.

This is a lovely galaxy and the image does show quite sharp detail with strong blue arms. Have seen the FSQ106 yield high res type images before as quality refractors do pack a heavy punch.

Thanks Allan, I am quite happy with the results particularly with the size of the galaxy in it's original size.
